Division Two Winners
Fleckney and District Darts League Division Two
In 1973 at the leagues A.G.M. held at the Conservative club Fleckney, there was a discussion about introducing two divisions. The secretary then briefly explained that at the registration stage for teams and players only 14 attended, therefore it was decided to run only one division with eighteen teams, that included the new teams ( Railway, B.Legion, Bell Inn, Axe & Squre 'B', Grand Hotel ) to run through 1973-74 season. One team dropped out from previous season, the Railway 'B' Countesthorpe.

The following year's league's A.G.M. in August 1974 saw a number of applications who wanted to join the league for the new 1974-75 season, And the committee recommended the invitation of 8 new team's and the league to run in two divisions. This was carried and the first match's to be played on the Thursday of September 12th 1974.
Also the secretary pointed out that with two divisions and inflation etc, it was becoming more difficult each year to purchase decent prizes or trophies without increasing the subs. He said that when the league was first formed in 1949-50 season the subs were 2/6(12.1/2p) each player and only raised due to decimal currency to 15p in 1971-72 season.
It was proposed and seconded to raise the individual fee to 25p, it was also proposed the fee should be 50p but this was not seconded the proposition of 25p was carried. The entrance fee per team went up to £1 which incluluded the team knock out fee of 50p.  This was carried.
So this was the beginning of thirteen busy years with two divisions in the leagues forty eight year history.
